About Us
I have had dogs all my life. I have always had a special interest in Obedience Training and Showing. Most of my previous dogs were German Shepards and large breed crosses.
Growing up I was very involved in the Ontario 4-H program as a member and leader in several Agricultural and Homemaking clubs. Living in a rural area, I got involved with horses and cattle, breeding, training and showing. At the present time I also have a small herd of top quality Miniatures horses and help with the family Holstein herd.
Breeding and showing is not new to me. I find the arrival of each litter of Havanese exciting and never a disappointment. “Like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.”
My adventure with Havanese started 9 years ago after a serious car accident caused serious physical limitations. I was researching a breed of dog that would be easy to handle, fun to be around, and would enjoy travelling to our horse barn. At the time my children and I lived in a townhouse, so we needed an obedient, quiet breed who would be able to go upstairs on their own and be able to stay by themselves when we where away at hockey, horse events etc. We had a Jack Russell, Pixie, who lived in my truck, was like a shadow, and I assumed would leave with my daughter. Not so, she is still with me and as young as a pup at 14 years old!
My research kept coming back to the Havanese! They are the perfect little dog, who don’t realize their own size. Much to my surprise, I had known one of the first breeders in Canada, through horses, for many years. I hadn’t paid much attention to her little dogs, but once I met them personally, I loved them!
My first puppy was a gorgeous black and silver female, “Sineade’s Just Paprika”, aka Peppy. She is my favourite, the little girl with a huge heart, lots of confidence, happy, obedient and the matriarch of my breeding venture.
“Sineade’s Pinot Champagne”, aka Champ arrived the next year. He is a beautiful, bubbly, Champagne coloured boy. A happier little face you won’t find! He loved to show and did very well as a pup. Champ has produced some gorgeous pups with Peppy and her daughter, Contessa.
Both are from top, extensively health tested, long lived, show bloodlines. They have had eye and patella testing done. All my dogs had CERF’s done in the summer of 2012.

Peppy and Champ
The summer of 2011 I got my new male puppy from the same breeder. She has been breeding dogs for over 40 years so I highly respect her opinion and trusted her to find me a new boy to show and breed.
I was not disappointed! “Arexpressions Designed Genes”, aka Bucky arrived at 7 months old. He is a lovely Gold Sable Partie, grandson of the Outstanding “Wee Pantaloones”. He has a sweet, loving personality.
As I mentioned I also have the old cranky Jack Russell, who rules the roost! Well she thinks she does! Three years our household welcomed a baby English Bulldog. She is our big lump. Suzy is a family pet who enjoys babysitting the little Havanese puppies.
All my dogs are raised to be adaptable to many family situations. They are in our home. We have large fenced, shaded yards. Last summer I added a plastic slide to the deck as the little guys had trouble with the stairs. To my surprise they love playing on it. They take turns sliding down, and when someone starts up from the bottom a big rumble ensues in the middle! So much like little kids.
Pups are crate trained and do go for rides in the van and long walks. Those days they sleep very well!
Most of my pups are well started and are great for families who are busy, and people who work full time and don’t want to or can’t go through the puppy phase. I start placing pups at 12 weeks. With the older ones you have a very good idea of the personality of the pup.
The pups get their vet check, first shots and regular deworming.
All pet pups are sold with a non-breeding contract. CKC papers will NOT be forwarded until proof of spay/neuter is supplied.
I do occasionally have a show/breeding quality puppy available to a show home.
CKC member in good standing.
I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures of my dogs, available and previous puppies and all of our adventures!
